Job summary

Burlington Stores, Inc. is hiring for a Distribution Center Operations Manager in California. You will lead Area Managers across inbound, put-to-light, ticketing, quality control, or outbound operations, ensuring merchandise is received, stored, packed, and shipped efficiently to stores on time.

The role emphasizes staff optimization, safety, and cost management, with a focus on operational excellence and customer-ready warehouse performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or combination of education and experience.
• 4+ years’ experience leading in a high-volume distribution environment.
• Understanding of supply chain, distribution, warehouse, transportation, and inventory.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities; conflict-management skills.
• Experience with WMS, distribution technology, and distribution equipment (conveyors, MHE).
• Ability to work flexible schedule and access all areas of the Distribution Center.

Responsibilities

• Ensure operational excellence across warehouse areas and safe processing in the warehouse.
• Ensure staffing and efficiency levels in the DC to move and process product efficiently.
• Design and implement systems to control costs in a dynamic environment.
• Coach, train, and evaluate area managers and associates with feedback.
• Design and manage delivery schedules to maximize store service and efficiency.
• Maintain a safe workplace by following Burlington safety policies and reducing accident costs.
