O'Reilly Auto Parts is seeking a DC Supervisor in Des Moines, IA to assist the DC manager in directing day-to-day operations of a single distribution center. You will oversee service, assets, costs, payroll, budgeting, inventory integrity, and productivity while leading a team of supervisors and hourly staff.

The role emphasizes training, HR collaboration, safety, and cost control, with a strong focus on achieving annual goals and maintaining high morale.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or GED required.
• Strong interpersonal and written/verbal communication skills.
• Above-average computer skills.
• 2+ years' experience as a distribution center supervisor with proven record of success.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple departments within one center.
• College degree or logistics certification desired.
• Fluency in multiple languages (Spanish highly desired).

Responsibilities

• Oversee all aspects of a single distribution center, including service, assets, costs, and staff.
• Ensure daily DC operations comply with policies and procedures.
• Manage payroll, budgeting, inventory integrity, and productivity.
• Provide training, guidance, and counseling to DC team members.
• Supervise 1-15 supervisors and up to 300 hourly staff.
• Maintain productivity and morale.
• Collaborate with DC manager to set annual goals and plans.
• Support HR in recruiting, hiring, and training.
• Conduct on-time evaluations of team members.
• Assist in annual operating budget planning.
• Monitor expenditures and obtain approvals (> $1,000).
• Provide a safe working environment and manage risks.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
