Job summary

Ocean State Job Lot (OSJL) is seeking an Area Manager to oversee a zone within our Distribution Center, leading an operations team to drive performance and efficiency while controlling costs and meeting customer demands.

The role emphasizes leadership, cross-functional collaboration, and adherence to safety and process standards in a high-volume DC environment. Strong preference for bilingual Spanish and Lean Six Sigma experience.

Qualifications

• 6+ years in leading and managing teams.
• Experience in large distribution center operations or logistics.
• College degree in supply chain, management, or logistics.
• Experience communicating with a wide range of stakeholders.
• Experience using data to influence business decisions.
• Strong computer skills: spreadsheets, documents, presentations, analytic tools and Google platform proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coach team to meet productivity, quality, and safety standards.
• Hire, discipline, and conduct performance reviews.
• Develop schedules and assign work across DC areas.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations.
• Standardize shift practices with cross-functional teams.
• Monitor OKRs and drive operational excellence.
• Validate DC outputs using warehouse data and reports.
• Collaborate with matrix partners as needed.
