THE IMPACT YOU CAN HAVE: As a DC Maintenance Mechanic, you will be essential in ensuring maximum uptime of material handling equipment to drive efficiency and productivity. This role requires diverse skills to troubleshoot various machines vital to our Distribution Center's operation. Serving as the Lead Mechanic, you will guide repairs, delegate tasks, manage shift handoffs, and be the primary contact for Managers and Supervisors. With over 700,000 sq. ft., this is a chance to challenge your maintenance expertise.

• Maintaining electrical systems, motor controls, and electronics, including installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of power distribution, lighting, transformers, and wiring.
• Designing and building specifications for new electrical circuits.
• Maintaining Material Handling Systems like conveyors and sortation equipment, including relay logic, PLC troubleshooting, and programming modifications.
• Maintaining battery-powered equipment from brands like Raymond, Crown, Toyota.
• Performing general warehouse tasks, carpentry, basic HVAC troubleshooting, and other duties as assigned.
• Inputting data into CMMS, ensuring paperwork is completed at shift end.

THE ESSENTIALS FOR SUCCESS:

Qualified candidates should have HVAC repair certification, electrician or plumber licenses, or relevant certifications. Additional requirements include:

• High school diploma or equivalent with relevant experience.
• Repair certification for powered equipment.
• Advanced knowledge of communication protocols like Profibus, Modbus, DeviceNet, ControlNet.
• Proven troubleshooting skills for MHE peripherals.
• Effective communication skills, ability to work independently and in teams.
• Experience with safety procedures.
• Basic math skills and ability to understand written and oral instructions in English.
• Ability to work overtime, follow instructions quickly, and adapt to daily tasks.
• Physical ability to lift up to 35 pounds consistently, up to 50 pounds occasionally, and work in various environments, including loud, dusty, and high places.

Essential functions include exposure to loud noises, high places, variable temperatures, dusty environments, and working in narrow aisles or trailers.
