Reporting To

Field Service Manager

Your Role and Responsibilities

In this role, you will execute service work according to work instructions, adhering to ABB quality and safety guidelines. You will deliver quality customer service by planning and executing service tasks aligned with customer orders and expectations. You will also ensure customer retention through effective communication of service timelines and expectations.

The work model for this role is: remote (#LI-Remote). This position contributes to the Motion division in the United States.

You will be primarily responsible for:

1. Collaborating with customers on-site to identify opportunities for operational improvements and pain point elimination.
2. Performing field service tasks, troubleshooting technical issues, and conducting analysis through remote or on-site activities within your certified service categories and products.
3. Preparing material lists for service activities and ensuring all materials, parts, and equipment are available and of suitable quality.
4. Acting as a trainer for field service associates and customers when needed.

Qualifications for the Role

• Associate degree with 1 year of relevant experience, or high school diploma/GED with 3 years of relevant experience, or a combination of 3 years of military education/experience. A bachelor's degree in engineering or a technical field is preferred but not required.
• Experience in installing, testing, repairing, or troubleshooting AC/DC drive systems and associated controls.
• Ability to interpret circuit diagrams, wiring diagrams, assembly drawings, technical manuals, and specifications.
• Willingness to travel up to 80% of the time.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Availability to provide technical support during evenings and weekends on a rotating schedule.
• Work environment includes exposure to moving mechanical parts, high places, outdoor weather conditions, electrical hazards, and vibration. The noise level varies from moderate to loud. The role requires talking, hearing, standing, walking, sitting, and using hands to manipulate tools and objects, with occasional climbing, kneeling, or crouching.
• Must have work authorization to work in the United States.

Base salary ranges from $51,100 to $94,900 annually, plus overtime, depending on qualifications and experience.
