Job summary

Walgreens is seeking a Manager of Human Resources to lead HR policies, procedures, and services for a Distribution Center, overseeing talent management, acquisition, employee relations, pay administration, and training. You will partner with COEs, mentor a team of HR professionals, and drive the HR strategy across the DC to achieve business goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or GED with HR experience as outlined in basic qualifications.
• 5+ years of HR experience including employee relations, staffing/selection, compensation/benefits and training.
• Experience applying federal, state, labor and employment laws (FMLA, ADA, OSHA).
• Minimum 1 year of leadership experience or cross-functional team leadership.
• Willing to travel up to 5% for business (within state and out of state).

Responsibilities

• Translate HR strategy to the Distribution Center through talent programs and processes.
• Develop and drive talent development programs, succession planning, performance management and recruitment strategy.
• Coach leadership to improve results using Walgreens tools and learning model.
• Create tools or programs to support HR strategy and provide input for initiatives.
• Educate managers on HR initiatives and ensure programmatic delivery of HR strategy.
• Oversee recruitment programs to meet business needs efficiently.
• Manage all HR processes for the DC including investigations, policy, compliance and employee relations.
• Deploy leadership and tools to maintain a harassment-free, inclusive workplace.
• Measure employee engagement, turnover, and compliance with laws; drive outcomes.
• Conduct onboarding, safety compliance, and general team member education.
• Partner with Employee Relations on escalated cases and investigations.
