Job summary

The Home Depot is seeking an HR Manager for the Distribution Center to lead talent acquisition, development and associate engagement. You will partner with DC leadership to drive HR programs aligned with company values and business goals.

Major focus areas include staffing, employee relations, compliance, learning programs and leadership development, while ensuring an issue-free direct employer/associate relationship. Overnight travel < 10% may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 2 years of work experience in HR (generalist recommended).
• B.S. degree in Business, HR Management, or Psychology preferred; if no degree, 3+ years HR Generalist experience.

Responsibilities

• Ensure HR initiatives/processes are executed timely and with high quality within the DC; provide HR guidance to DC Management.
• Facilitate staffing responsibilities of the DC in partnership with DC Management; recruitment, reporting and system requirements.
• Protect and maintain Home Depot's direct employer/associate relationship in the DC; educate and communicate policy and law.
• Assure associate relations practices; uphold Open Door policy and fair treatment.
• Understand and apply employment laws; conduct investigations through completion; documentation.
• Develop/ deliver knowledge management and learning programs for hourly associates; support leadership development and succession planning.
• Collaborate with RHRM and peers on projects and support Supply Chain efforts.
