Job summary

DICK’S Sporting Goods is seeking a Maintenance Technician to support our Distribution Center in Tioga Center, NY. The role focuses on maintaining and repairing facility and conveyance systems, including PLCs, hydraulics, and conveyors, while following PM standards and safety protocols.

The position requires reading electrical/mechanical drawings and a background in welding, mechanical/electrical trades, and LOTO practices.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree or technical certificate in mechanical or electrical field
• 3–5 years of related maintenance experience
• Experience with welding, burning, and cutting
• Knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, gear boxes and PLC controls
• Ability to read electrical/mechanical drawings and schematics
• Familiar with LOTO safety practices
• Able to lift up to 75 lbs and stand/bend for long periods

Responsibilities

• Adhere to OSHA safety standards including LOTO
• Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair facility equipment and conveyance systems
• Report spare parts inventory levels to Maintenance leadership
• Assist in training junior technicians to elevate performance
• Collaborate with outside vendors to complete DC projects safely and timely
• Take on other duties to support DC operations
