Job summary

SanMar is seeking a Manager, DC Facilities to lead the maintenance team across a distribution center. You will oversee preventive maintenance, supervise technicians, and ensure reliability of automated systems and building infrastructure.

The role emphasizes urgency, accountability, and collaboration with IT and vendors to maximize DC performance. Responsibilities include planning work, prioritizing repairs, managing spare parts, and ensuring safety compliance, with potential travel to support

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience.
• 4-6 years of progressive experience in maintenance engineering and system repair.
• 1-3 years of supervisory/lead experience.
• In-depth knowledge of preventive maintenance program development and implementation, maintenance work prioritization and scheduling.
• Working knowledge of operating budgets and forecasting variances, spreadsheets and software programs.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; excellent project management skills.
• Flexible with schedule, able to provide off-hours support either remotely or onsite.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all work and responsibilities of the Facilities team and enforce safety procedures.
• Identify opportunities to reduce equipment downtime and improve system reliability.
• Set work priorities, repair and maintenance schedules, and installation of machinery.
• Support the Safety program and review accident reports for corrective actions.
• Review mechanic utilization and downtime reports to improve performance.
• Establish priorities and ensure maintenance is completed with urgency.
• Audit preventive maintenance programs and improve reliability and reduce costs.
• Coordinate with DC leadership and vendors to maximize system stability and efficiency.
