Job summary

Rockline Industries, Inc. in Kentucky is seeking a facilities technician to maintain a large manufacturing site. Responsibilities include cleaning, trash collection, floor scrubbing, and operating equipment.

You will bale recycled materials, support plant shutdowns, and assist facilities staff while upholding RRITE values. The role is mostly indoors with some outside work and requires good attendance and safety awareness.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Some experience maintaining a large facility preferred.
• Knowledge of construction, plumbing, operation of power tools and light equipment a plus.
• Forklift experience a plus but certification required.
• Must be a motivated self-starter and able to manage time while working alone.
• Must pay close attention to detail and be a team player.
• Must follow instructions and maintain excellent attendance.
• Must pass a functional capacity exam for facilities tech including lifting 50 lb repeatedly.
• Limited travel may be required; environment varies indoors/outdoors.

Responsibilities

• Clean and maintain all areas of the facility, including restrooms.
• Collect trash in all areas and maintain the trash compactor area.
• Operate the floor scrubber to maintain floors.
• Monitor plant and grounds cleanliness and address issues.
• Handle and bale recycled materials.
• Work plant shutdowns to meet project deadlines.
• Assist facilities techs when needed.

Job description

• Starting at $15.10 per hour

Essential Accountabilities:

• Cleaning and maintaining all areas of the facility including restrooms.
• Collection of trash in all areas and maintenance of the trash compactor area.
• Operation of the floor scrubber to maintain all floors.
• Monitor plant and grounds cleanliness and correct problem areas.
• Responsible for handling and baling recycled materials.
• Will be required to work plant shutdowns to meet project deadlines during available time.
• Assist facilities techs when needed.

• Mostly inside work, some outside. Work environment can vary from both outdoors to indoors and from very hot to very cold (winter).
• Will work around machinery, noise 30% of the time
