Job summary

Rockline is seeking a DC Facilities Helper for the A-Shift (6:00 AM–2:30 PM). The role involves cleaning and maintaining all areas of the facility, operating the floor scrubber, and supporting safe plant operations.

You will assist facilities techs, handle baling of recycled materials, participate in plant shutdowns, and uphold Rockline's RRITE values—Renew, Respect, Integrity, Teamwork and Excellence.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Experience maintaining a large facility preferred.
• Ability to operate power tools and light equipment is a plus.
• Forklift experience is a plus; forklift certification required.
• Detail oriented and able to work as a team player.
• Able to pass a functional capacity exam (50 lb) regularly.
• Willing to work indoor/outdoor in extreme temperatures.

Responsibilities

• Clean and maintain all areas of the facility, including restrooms.
• Collect trash and maintain the trash compactor area.
• Operate the floor scrubber to maintain floors.
• Monitor plant and grounds cleanliness and address issues.
• Handle and bale recycled materials.
• Work plant shutdowns to meet project deadlines as needed.
• Assist facilities techs when required.
• Uphold RRITE values: Renew, Respect, Integrity, Teamwork, Excellence.
• Contribute to a cooperative work environment and flexibility.

Essential Accountabilities

• Cleaning and maintaining all areas of the facility including restrooms.
• Collection of trash in all areas and maintenance of the trash compactor area.
• Operation of the floor scrubber to maintain all floors.
• Monitor plant and grounds cleanliness and correct problem areas.
• Responsible for handling and baling recycled materials.
• Will be required to work plant shutdowns to meet project deadlines during available time.
• Assist facilities techs when needed.

Required Skills

• High School Diploma or GED
• Must have some experience maintaining a large facility
• Knowledge in construction, plumbing, operation of power tools and light equipment a plus
• Forklift experience a plus but not required. Obtaining certification will be required.
• Must be a motivated self-starter and able to manage time while working alone.
• Must pay close attention to detail
• Must be able to work as a team player
• Must be able to follow instructions well
• Must maintain excellent attendance record
• Must be able to pass a functional capacity exam for facilities tech including pushing, pulling and lifting of 50# on a continual basis while baling.
• Limited travel may occasionally be required
• Mostly inside work, some outside. Work environment can vary from both outdoors to indoors and from very hot to very cold (winter).
• Will work around machinery, noise 30% of the time
