Job summary

TMG Retail Ltd in Washington, DC is seeking an Event Operations Manager to lead the execution of Lumos Experiences shows across the DC region. You will own operational planning, venue coordination, staffing, and production oversight to ensure safe, on-brand events. The role requires proactive leadership and hands-on involvement at shows.

You will spend time onsite at shows, coach teams, and drive continuous improvement across the region while balancing budgets and quality control.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in event operations, production or management.
• Ability to motivate a team and uphold high standards.
• Strong organizational and project management skills.
• Driving license and willingness to travel

Responsibilities

• End-to-End Event Operations: deliver shows across the DC region with pre-show planning and post-event review.
• Venue Management: maintain venue catalogue, advance sheets and safety docs.
• Staff Recruitment, Scheduling & Training: lead weekend recruitment and training for Event Managers and Assistants.
• Musician & Production Coordination: brief artists and oversee production teams.
• Processes & Operational Standards: develop standardized processes for consistency.
• Budget & Inventory Management: manage inventory, stores and logistics.
• Field Presence & Quality Control: attend minimum two shows per month.
• Reporting & Continuous Improvement: post-event reports and KPI analysis.
• Special Event & Venue Preparation: coordinate permits, vendors and compliance.
• Coordinate Venue Insurance Requirements: COIs and compliance records.
