Job summary

Comstock is seeking a Security Officer for ParkX Management in the Washington, DC area. You will perform hourly patrols, control access for guests and vendors, and ensure safety and property protection.

Expect to enforce rules, assist with events, manage valet at Reston Station, and coordinate with management on any security concerns. The role requires a high school diploma, DC security officer certification, and at least 1 year in customer service.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• Must be certified security officer by the District of Columbia.
• Minimum 1 year experience in a customer-service related field.
• Valid driver’s license without major violations.
• Flexibility to work after hours and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Complete hourly patrol route of the property using the security system.
• Access control for guests, tenants and vendors.
• Ensure no property is damaged.
• Conduct routine foot patrols in and around the building.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Observe and report safety.
• Issue banning notices to rule violators.
• Maintain file for Ban Notices and notify management when necessary.
• Maintain the appearance of plaza kiosks.
• Enforce no dogs on the plaza policy.
• Communicate information to guests and update necessary contact numbers and rules of conduct.
• Report unknown work to management.
• Notify Park X, and property management if illegal parking occurs.
• Keep fire access areas accessible for fire trucks and ambulances.
• Close loading dock doors as needed.
• Report concerns to management.
• Assist Marketing for events at Reston and Loudoun Station.
• Manage valet at Reston Station and ensure plaza/down ramp parking is avoided.
• Follow plaza marketing plan for special events.
• Manage traffic on the plaza and keep it moving.
