Job summary

The Home Depot is seeking a DC Area Supervisor to lead an hourly team and drive efficient, safe, and productive distribution center operations. You will hire, evaluate, develop, and discipline hourly staff and ensure timely, accurate handling of merchandise across the team.

Responsibilities include process optimization, coaching, and planning to meet performance metrics while maintaining strong safety standards and quality.

Qualifications

• Must be eighteen years of age or older.
• Must be legally permitted to work in the United States.
• Flexibility to work various shifts.
• Ability to relocate.
• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Experience with Warehouse Management Systems preferred.
• 3+ years supervisory experience in a related field.
• High school diploma or GED is the minimum education.

Responsibilities

• 45% Managing Process: ensure operations procedures are followed and optimize methods to reduce inefficiencies.
• 25% Coaching and Developing Associates: train, coach and evaluate hourly staff and handle disciplinary actions.
• 15% Drives Results: maintain inventory accuracy and monitor key metrics like productivity and quality.
• 15% Business Planning: align staffing and operations with the business plan and monitor performance.
