Job summary

The Home Depot is seeking a DC Area Supervisor to lead an hourly team in a fast-paced distribution center in the United States. You will oversee hiring, coaching, and performance management, ensuring safe, efficient handling of merchandise and achievement of key metrics.

You will drive process improvements, manage inventory accuracy, and coordinate staffing with operations leadership to align with the business plan. This role reports to the Operations Manager and requires flexibility with shifts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred; strong written and verbal communication.
• Minimum education: high school diploma or GED.
• 3+ years supervisory experience in a related field preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and WMS is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Lead an hourly team of 20 to 30 associates to run the distribution center efficiently, safely, and productively.
• Hire, evaluate, develop, discipline and terminate hourly staff as needed.
• Coach and develop associates; conduct evaluations using data and observations.
• Monitor productivity, safety, service and quality, and provide coaching and feedback.
• Analyze and manage inventory accuracy and key metrics; plan staffing to meet production rates.
