Job summary

City of New York seeks an experienced DB2 Database Administrator to support D82 v12+ on IBM zJOS. You will collaborate with development teams to install and migrate releases, perform data fixes, and execute database recovery and tuning tasks for PMS, PPMS, and FMS systems.

Responsibilities include backup/recovery, runstats and reorgs, performance monitoring, and coordinating with IBM support for production migrations and tool upgrades.

Qualifications

• Experience with installing, configuring, and tuning DB2 databases.
• Proven ability to work with application development teams on releases and data fixes.
• Experience with IBM zJOS platforms and Data Replication tools.

Responsibilities

• Ensure installation, configuration, and tuning of DB2 databases are completed efficiently.
• Author and validate procedures for database processes.
• Identify issues and implement updates for DB2 programs.
• Coordinate migrations and production deployments with Tech Support.
