Potbelly Sandwich Works is hiring Team Members for morning and day shifts (8am–4pm) to open the shop, prep food, and serve customers with energy and good vibes. Earn between $13.75 and $14.25 per hour plus digital tips, with a comprehensive benefits package and flexible scheduling.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 16 years old.
• Friendly, customer-first mindset for fast-paced environment.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Comfortable in a bustling kitchen; knife skills a plus.
• Ability to manage allergens (peanuts, eggs, dairy, gluten, soy, seafood, shellfish).
• Team player attitude.
• Able to stand/walk 3 hours or more.
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally.
• Illinois applicants must become food safety certified within 30 days.

Responsibilities

• Handle multiple stations (load, dress, shakes, cash, prep, front) as directed.
• Comply with health and safety standards for food and cleanliness.
• Restock food line, chips, and cooler.
• Prepare quality finished products (sandwiches, salads, soups, cookies, ice cream) efficiently.
• If 18+, use the slicer to prep items.
• Clean tables, counters, floors, bathrooms, and utensils; take out trash.
• Operate cash register and follow cash handling procedures.
• Address customer complaints/issues effectively.
• Takes delivery/catering/pickup orders over the phone.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
