Job summary

Potbelly Sandwich Shop is hiring Team Members for morning and day shifts (8am–4pm) to open the shop, prep food, and serve customers in a fast-paced, energetic environment.

We offer competitive pay ($12.75–$13.25 hourly) plus digital tips, medical/dental/vision, retirement match, paid time off, and a flexible schedule. You must be 16+ with strong customer service and teamwork to thrive in our shops.

Qualifications

• You must be at least 16 years of age.
• Friendly, customer-first mindset for a fast-paced environment.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Comfortable working in a bustling kitchen environment.
• Ability to manage allergens (peanuts, milk, gluten, soy, seafood).
• Team player who can thrive in a busy setting.
• Able to stand/walk for extended periods; lift up to 50 lbs occasionally.

Responsibilities

• Operate multiple stations as directed by a Shift Leader or Manager.
• Maintain health and safety standards for food, cleanliness and safety.
• Restock food line, chips and cooler.
• Prepare quality finished products (sandwiches, salads, soups, cookies, ice cream).
• Use of automatic slicer if 18 or older.
• Clean tables, counters, floors, bathrooms, kitchen and utensils; take out trash.
• Operate cash register and manage cash handling procedures.
• Address customer complaints/issues effectively.
• Take delivery/catering/pickup orders over the phone.
• Other duties as assigned.
