Job summary

Ampact's Math Corps is seeking a Math Tutor in Minnesota to support local students with 20–30 minute, small-group math practice sessions. You’ll track progress, follow a school schedule, and coordinate with an onsite coach to maximize student growth.

The AmeriCorps role includes daytime hours, a 35-hour week, a biweekly stipend of $18.89 per hour served, health and child-care perks, and extensive education benefits to help with college costs and loan repayment.

Qualifications

• Dependable with good attendance history.
• Able to follow instructions and apply feedback.
• Proficient with basic computer skills (email, online navigation).
• Fluent in English (speaking, reading, writing).
• 18+ with HS diploma or equivalent.
• US citizenship, national status, or lawful permanent resident.
• Able to complete a background check.

Responsibilities

• Be a caring adult focused on helping students thrive.
• Lead tutoring sessions and follow a schedule for consistent support.
• Track student progress and meet with onsite coach regularly.
• Enter student scores into data software and maintain records.
• Pursue growth through coaching and training.
• Share experiences with the community.
