Job summary

Math Corps is recruiting tutors to work in Minnesota schools. You’ll tutor small groups for 20–30 minutes, track progress with an onsite coach, and support students’ math skills daily.

As an AmeriCorps member, you’ll earn a paycheck of $17.50 per hour served, enjoy daytime weekday hours, and access education benefits. Training and coaching help you grow while making a community impact.

Qualifications

• Fluent English required for speaking, reading and writing.
• Dependable with a history of good attendance.
• Ability to follow instructions and implement feedback.
• Proficient in basic computer tasks (email, basic software).
• Must be 18 years or older with a high school diploma or equivalent.
• U.S. citizen, national, or lawful permanent resident.
• Able to successfully complete a background check.

Responsibilities

• Be a caring adult focused on helping students thrive.
• Lead tutoring sessions and follow a schedule to provide support.
• Track student progress and meet with onsite coach regularly.
• Conduct skill assessments and enter scores into data software.
• Commit to personal growth through coaching and training.
• Share experiences with the community.
