Job summary

HomeGrown, a daytime eatery, is hiring a Line Cook to join our Kitchen Team. You’ll handle assigned prep work and your station while upholding recipes, presentation, and cook times for a fast-paced, scratch kitchen.

Qualifications

• A positive attitude and desire to learn and grow
• Reading, writing and verbal communication skills
• Ability to follow recipes exactly
• Ability to work fast, safe, efficient, and accurately for periods of up to 10 hours per day
• Mobility required during the entire shift
• Ability to transport cases up to 50 pounds as many as 20 times per day

Responsibilities

• Prepare menu items according to HomeGrown's Recipes, Plate Presentations and specifications.
• Complete all assigned prep work, following recipes exactly as written.
• Set up workstation.
• Practice sanitary and safe food handling at all times.
• Clean and sanitize the work area before, during and after shift.
• Complete daily and weekly cleaning projects.
