Job summary

HomeGrown, a daytime eatery and part of Thrive Restaurant Group, is seeking a Prep Cook (Kitchen Team Member). You will handle your assigned prep work and station while upholding our recipes, quality, and cook times. This is a scratch kitchen where each dish reflects our commitment to delicious, consistent meals.

The role offers early shifts with a Finish by 3:30 pm, a team-oriented environment, and opportunities to grow within a family-owned restaurant group focused on kindness and community.

Qualifications

• Must-have positive attitude and willingness to learn.
• Good reading, writing and verbal communication required.
• Ability to follow recipes exactly as written.
• Ability to work quickly, safely and accurately for long periods.
• Mobility to move around the restaurant and reach stations.
• Ability to transport cases up to 50 pounds multiple times per shift.
• Capable of responding to emergencies to avoid danger.

Responsibilities

• Prepare assigned prep work and work at the prep/cook stations (70%).
• Set up and organize workstation (5%).
• Maintain sanitary and safe food handling at all times (10%).
• Prepare menu items per HomeGrown recipes and specifications (5%).
• Clean and sanitize work area before, during, and after shift (5%).
• Complete daily/weekly cleaning tasks (5%).
