Qualifications

• RN license required and active.
• BLS within 30 days of start date.
• Day Surgery experience preferred.
• Bachelor’s or Associate Degree in Nursing.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients prior to surgery.
• Educate patients and families about the perioperative process.
• Prepare patients including IV therapy and preoperative medications.
• Participate in surgical site verification and universal protocols.
• Recognize and respond to patient emergencies.
• Deliver patient-centered care and safety initiatives.
• Collaborate with providers, surgeons, and staff.
• Consistently apply the nursing process and monitor patient condition.
• Educate patients about treatment and follow-up.
