Qualifications

• RN license required within 6 months of start date.
• BLS/CPR certification within 6 months of start date.
• Associate or Bachelor degree within 6 months of employment start date.
• 1 year or more acute RN experience.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients prior to surgery.
• Provide patient and family education about the procedure and peri-operative process.
• Prepare patients including IV therapy and preoperative medications.
• Assist in surgical site verification and universal protocols.
• Recognize and respond to patient emergencies.
• Deliver high-quality, patient-centered care following evidence-based practices.
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team including surgeons and staff.
• Apply nursing process, critical thinking, and leadership to care delivery.
• Monitor patient condition and document changes.
• Educate patients and families about medical condition, treatment, and follow-up.
