Job summary

Montecito Pet Hospital in Santa Barbara, CA, is seeking a Care Coordinator to join PetVet Care Centers. This role supports the hospital with administrative and customer service duties, aligning with positions like Veterinary Receptionist or Client Care Specialist.

You’ll engage clients, manage schedules, assist with medications, and handle data entry and billing in our practice management system. This is a full-time daytime opportunity in a collaborative team with growth potential.

Qualifications

• Customer service skills required for in-person and phone support.
• Knowledge of clerical procedures and recordkeeping.
• Accurate cash handling and cashiering abilities.
• Ability to multitask with attention to detail.
• Flexible scheduling to meet clinic needs.
• Physical ability to stand, walk, and assist with animals up to 50 lbs.
• Must be at least 18 years old.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service in person, over the phone, and in stressful situations.
• Manage lobby flow, address concerns, and schedule appointments.
• Handle basic medical emergencies for pets and owners, ensuring safety.
• Assist with medication pickups and information about services.
• Input and manage data in practice management software including billing.
• Assist with retail sales and maintain accurate records.
• Balance cash drawer and complete end-of-day financial duties.
