Job summary

Methodist Retirement Communities in Texas seeks an experienced RN Nurse Supervisor to assist the Director of Nursing in coordinating nursing services for residents across our continuing-care communities. The role includes rounds, family communications, infection control oversight, EMR documentation, and regulatory compliance within a supportive team environment.

Ideal candidates hold a Texas RN license, have at least three years of general nursing experience with supervision in geriatric care,

Qualifications

Graduation from an accredited vocational school of nursing.
Current Texas RN license.
At least three years of general nursing experience, including supervision and geriatric nursing.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong organizational skills.

Responsibilities

Make daily rounds to all nursing units, ensuring staff are present, supplies are stocked and the unit runs smoothly.
Visit and follow-up with families and elders, reviewing clinical records and communicating appropriately.
Provide oversight for infection control and conduct infection control in-services for staff; answer questions.
Assure accurate and complete nursing documentation by regularly reviewing documentation in the EMR and providing education as needed.
Assist in maintaining the department in full compliance with Federal, State and local regulations.
Perform other duties as needed.
