RWJBarnabas Health is seeking an RN for the Surgical Unit-I (3N) per diem daytime shifts at Clara Maass Medical Center in Belleville, NJ. The role emphasizes comprehensive patient assessments, safe medication administration, and collaboration with physicians to ensure high-quality care.

The position requires an active NJ RN license, BLS and ACLS within six months, and a BSN is preferred. Expect a fast-paced environment with opportunities for professional growth and ongoing education.

Qualifications

• Active New Jersey RN license or Multistate RN with NJ endorsement in good standing.
• BLS certification required; ACLS certification within six months of hire.
• Bachelor's degree in Nursing strongly preferred; accredited school graduation required.
• minimum of one year bedside nursing experience.
• Certifications: MEDSURG-BC, PCCN, CMSRN.
• EMR experience with EPIC.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and recognize clinical changes; intervene early and advocate for patients.
• Administer medications and treatments safely with strong clinical judgment.
• Collaborate with physicians and advanced providers for timely, coordinated care decisions.
• Educate patients and families clearly and compassionately for next care steps.
• Document accurately in the electronic medical record to promote continuity and safety.
• Participate in interdisciplinary rounds to support seamless transitions of care.
• Engage in continuous professional growth through education and clinical ladder opportunities.
