Job summary

RWJBarnabas Health is hiring a Registered Nurse (RN) for Surgical Unit-II in New Brunswick on a Per Diem, Night shift basis. The role requires an active NJ RN license, BLS and ACLS, 2+ years Medical-Surgical experience, and an Associate’s degree in Nursing.

Per Diem status with hourly pay, and opportunities to grow within a leading NJ health system. EPIC EMR experience is preferred; BSN strongly preferred.

Qualifications

• Active New Jersey RN license in good standing.
• Current BLS certification is required.
• ACLS certification is required.
• At least 2 years Medical-Surgical RN experience.
• Associate's degree in Nursing required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• EMR experience with EPIC is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and respond to clinical changes.
• Administer medications and provide evidence-based nursing care.
• Collaborate with physicians and care teams for timely decisions.
• Educate patients and families to support informed care.
• Document accurately in the EMR to ensure continuity of care.
• Participate in interdisciplinary rounds to improve transitions of care.
