Job summary

OhioHealth in Columbus, OH, is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to provide general nursing care across the continuum in our 24/7/365 environment, within the Observation Unit. The RN is accountable to the Ohio Board of Nursing and will delegate tasks to LPNs and UAPs according to the Ohio Nurse Practice Act.

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse license from the State of Ohio and/or current Registered Nurse license in good standing with a multi-state compact state.
• BLS certification
• BSN required at 5 years of employment

Responsibilities

• Assessment/Diagnosis - Performs initial, ongoing, and functional health status assessment as applicable to the population and or individual (30%).
• Outcomes Identification/Planning - Documents planned nursing interventions to achieve outcomes appropriate to patient needs (30%).
• Implementation/Evaluation - Evaluates and documents response to nursing interventions and achievement of outcomes; revises plan of care as needed (20%).
• Leadership - Participates in process improvement activities to improve clinical quality, customer satisfaction and financial performance (10%).
• Operations - Performs operational tasks to support unit functioning (10%).
• As a High Reliability Organization (HRO), responsibilities require focus on safety, quality and efficiency in performing job duties.
