Job summary

Qualifications

• Minimum age 18 and high school graduate or GED
• 1 year of experience in an SQL/LSA clinical laboratory environment OR 2 years of leadership/training experience OR an Associate's degree in an Allied Health or related field
• Strong knowledge of instrumentation and procedures used in the section and regulatory/accreditation requirements
• Exceptional customer service and advanced computer skills in LIS/HIS systems and other hospital software
• Bilingual Spanish/English preferred

Responsibilities

• Provide daily oversight for the shift, scheduling, and workflow management
• Ensure quality control and QA records meet accrediting standards
• Monitor department finances and identify opportunities for cost reductions
• Lead, train, coach, and evaluate staff; participate in orientation and competency assessments
• Serve as liaison with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals and support cross‑functional teams
