Job summary

Laboratory Sciences of Arizona in Queen Creek, AZ is seeking an experienced Phlebotomy supervisor for the night shift. You will lead advanced technical and administrative work, schedule staff, and ensure compliance with OSHA, CAP, and CLIA standards.

You will oversee quality control, implement QA policies, monitor finances, and train staff. Strong leadership, communication, and LIS/HIS software skills are required to collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other health professionals.

Qualifications

• Must have 18+ years and a high school diploma or GED.
• Strong English reading, writing and math abilities.
• Must have knowledge of instrumentation and regulatory standards.
• 1 year of SQL/LSA clinical lab experience or 2 years in leadership/training.
• Excellent problem recognition and solution skills, plus leadership abilities.
• Experience with LIS/HIS and multiple software programs.

Responsibilities

• Oversee shift operations, schedule staff, and manage daily workflow.
• Ensure QC/QA procedures and records meet accrediting standards.
• Monitor section finances, supply usage, and expense control.
• Provide training, coaching, and new employee orientation.
• Serve as liaison with physicians, nurses, and staff on test orders.
