Job summary

ClearSky Health in Wisconsin seeks a Patient Care Technician to provide direct, non-invasive bedside care under RN supervision. The role requires current BLS, 2 years of inpatient hospital experience preferred, and adherence to infection prevention standards.

Pay range is $20.50–$23.86 per hour, with schedule from 6:30 am to 6:30 pm and every other weekend. Benefits eligible, with tuition/loan reimbursement and career advancement options available.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED strongly preferred.
• 2 years inpatient hospital setting experience preferred.
• Current BLS required.
• Knowledge of infection prevention and proper body mechanics.
• Proficient in data entry, word processing, email, and records management.
• Strong critical thinking and communication skills.
• Ability to prioritize, meet deadlines, and complete complex tasks.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and work well with others.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct, non-invasive bedside care to patients.
• Documents vital signs and intake/output; records measurements.
• Transfers patients using proper body mechanics and safe handling.
• Maintains clean, safe, and comfortable patient rooms and beds.
• Responds to patient and family calls and requests promptly.
• Designates charges to individual patients using hospital systems.
• May work during inclement weather or staffing emergencies.
• Maintains safety and infection prevention standards for patients, staff, and visitors.
• Completes required trainings and other duties as assigned.
