Indiana University Health is seeking a dedicated Patient Care Technician to support patients at our Indianapolis campus. The role involves assisting with meals, bathing, linen changes, and safety checks, while supporting the bedside RN with vital signs and patient comfort.

Qualifications

• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the AHA or completion of the IU Health PCA education program.
• Ability to obtain vital signs and monitor patient status.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills in a busy healthcare setting.

Responsabilités

• Assist with meal ordering, drinks, and feeding as needed; encourage walking and assist with baths.
• Provide clean linens and gowns and restock supplies.
• Support bedside RN by obtaining vital signs and reporting any abnormalities or changes to the nurse in charge.
• Maintain patient safety using gait belts and alarms, staying within arm's reach during transfers.
