Job summary

CHS seeks a Patient Care Technician to support RN/LPN teams in a fast-paced acute care setting. You will assist with daily living activities, monitor vital signs, and help maintain a safe, clean environment.

The role emphasizes patient safety, infection control, and effective communication. CNA or CPCT preferred; BCLS certification required within 90 days of hire. prior acute care exposure is advantageous.

Qualifications

• 0-2 years of experience in an acute care setting preferred.
• Enrolled in a nursing program preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist nursing staff with patient care and maintain a clean, safe environment.
• Record and report vital signs and other patient data to RN/LPN/LVN.
• Assist with meals, personal care, mobility, and activities of daily living.
• Support patients with positioning, transfers, and use of mobility aids.
• Collect samples and perform glucose monitoring per protocol and report results.
• Communicate patient information effectively to care team and adhere to infection control protocols.
