VetJobs in Portsmouth, NH is seeking an Operations Supervisor to lead and develop staff handling visa operations support. You will supervise, train and guide the team to ensure high-quality output and adherence to procedures in an on-site environment near the National Visa Center.

The ideal candidate holds an Associate's degree with 1 year of visa operations support experience and at least 1 year of supervisory practice. A SECRET clearance is required; MRPT is acceptable if needed.

Qualifications

• Associates degree and 1 year visa operations support experience.
• One year of supervisory experience may be substituted for visa operations support.
• Two additional years of team management experience may be substituted for an Associate's degree.
• Must obtain and maintain SECRET level security clearance; MRPT if not.
• Live within 90 miles of Portsmouth, NH, and be a U.S. citizen.

Responsibilities

• Supervises, directs, trains and assists staff in performing applicable support functions.
• Oversees day-to-day operations to meet quality standards and provides retraining as needed.
• Uses independent judgement to assign work to employees based on site needs to meet production or quality requirements.
• Assists Operations Managers to ensure timely delivery of all deliverables.
• Tracks progress and reports status to the Unit Manager or Assistant Operations Manager.
• Manages the progressive discipline process and makes recommendations for promotions and terminations.
• Initiates performance reviews for employees within area of responsibility.
• Interviews and assesses applicants for employee selection.
• Trains new employees and conducts refresher training for current employees.
• Ensures that Standard Operating Procedures are used and kept up to date.
