Job summary

Good Samaritan in Canistota, SD, seeks a Medication Assistant to provide resident-centered care under a charge nurse. You will assist with daily living activities, monitor vital signs, and document care and medications while maintaining compliance with state regulations.

The role requires CMA/CNA certification with the State Board of Nursing, and includes opportunities for advancement and access to benefits. Shift is day, full-time with 40 hours weekly.

Qualifications

Must have CNA/CMA certifications per state requirements.
Experience with long-term care settings preferred.
Continued education credits as required by state nursing board.

Responsibilities

Provide resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance.
Administer prescribed medications as delegated by a licensed nurse.
Document care, med administration, behavior, activity, and dietary notes.
Communicate changes in resident condition to the charge nurse.
Assist with transfers, mobility, and range-of-motion activities.
