Job summary

CentraState Healthcare System is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for the Medical/Surgical 4N unit (Days) at CentraState Medical Center in Freehold, NJ. The role supports a 4N North team with a 1:4 nurse-to-patient ratio, providing evidence-based nursing care and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team.

Requirements include NJ RN license, CPR, ACLS within first year, and residency or 1 year acute care experience.

Qualifications

• Requires Associate's degree in Nursing; Bachelor's within 3 years of hire.
• RN license/NJ required; CPR certification.
• ACLS, Basic Dysrhythmia, and CSMC IV within first year; residency or 1 year acute care RN experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide culturally sensitive, evidence-based nursing care per ANA standards and policies.
• Perform complete nursing history and baseline assessment.
• Document care plans, interventions and patient progress.
• Administer medications per policy and manufacturers' instructions.
• Respond to changes in patient condition and act on emergencies.
• Participate in unit conferences and quality improvement activities.
• Role model and mentor to students and new staff; promote teamwork.
• Float between units as needed and provide 1:1 patient observation when required.
