Job summary

Trinity Health Of New England Medical Group in Naugatuck, CT, is seeking a Medical Receptionist / Business Services Rep to join our Internal Medicine team. You will help manage patient flow and perform essential front-desk and billing support.

Responsibilities include greeting patients, answering phones, scheduling, registration, insurance verification, copay collection, pre-certifications, prior authorizations, referrals, chart prep and fax management, providing clerical support to providers.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in medical office or billing preferred; knowledge of patient billing and medical terminology preferred.
• Excellent keyboard skills with proficiency in Windows-based computers and Microsoft Office; accuracy and dependability required.

Responsibilities

• Greets and communicates with patients in person or by phone in a courteous and professional manner identifying themselves and their department.
• Answers telephones in a timely, courteous, and professional manner utilizing appropriate scripting.
• Processes calls to ensure patients are transferred to the appropriate staff member/provider in a timely manner.
• Schedules patient appointments based on department protocols to maximize provider productivity.
