Job summary

Trinity Health Of New England Medical Group in Waterbury, CT, is seeking a Medical Receptionist / Business Services Rep to join the Cardiology team. This full-time role focuses on patient flow, front-desk duties, scheduling, registration, and insurance verification in a busy cardiology practice.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent.
Experience in a medical office or billing department preferred; knowledge of patient billing and medical terminology preferred.
Excellent keyboard skills; proficiency with Windows and Microsoft Office; accuracy and dependability.

Responsibilities

Greet patients and direct them to the appropriate staff or department.
Answer phones professionally and route calls.
Schedule appointments and assist with patient registration and referrals.
Verify insurance, process copays, and manage pre-certifications and authorizations.
Prepare charts and handle incoming/outgoing faxes; provide clerical support to providers.
Support workflow to maintain patient flow within the practice.
