Job summary

Trinity Health Of New England Medical Group seeks a Medical Receptionist / Business Services Rep to support clinic operations, greet patients, answer phones, schedule visits, register patients, and manage referrals.

This role also handles insurance verification, copay collection, pre-authorizations, chart prep, and fax management, providing clerical support to providers and staff in a fast-paced, patient-centered environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in a medical office or billing department preferred.
• Knowledge of patient billing and medical terminology preferred.
• Excellent keyboard skills; proficient in Windows-based computer environments and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Greets and communicates with patients via phone or in person in a courteous and professional manner identifying themselves and their department.
• Answers telephones in a timely, courteous, and professional manner utilizing appropriate scripting.
• Processes calls to ensure patients are transferred to the appropriate staff member/provider in a timely manner.
• Schedules patient appointments based on department protocols to maximize provider productivity.
