Job summary

Lone Peak Hospital in Draper, UT is hiring a Medical Lab Technician to perform stat and routine clinical laboratory testing under supervision. The role supports quality, safety, and regulatory compliance while delivering timely, accurate results.

Requires an Associate's degree in Laboratory Science or Medical Laboratory Technology, and licensure as required; ASCP/AMT MLT certification; CLIA experience preferred. At least 1 year in a CLIA-certified lab preferred; extensive benefits provided.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in Laboratory Science or Medical Laboratory Technology required.
• Successful completion of US Military Medical Laboratory Procedures Training Course of at least 50 weeks duration and having held the Medical Laboratory Specialist (Laboratory Technician) enlisted specialty.
• 1+ year of experience in a CLIA-Certified Laboratory preferred.
• State license where required (CA, FL, LA, NV) required.
• ASCP (MLT), AMT (MLT) or equivalent; non-certified individuals must obtain certification within one year of hire.

Responsibilities

• Supports the department in achieving department goals for service, quality, regulatory compliance, financial performance, patient satisfaction, and a healthy work environment.
• Ensure timely and accurate results and proper processing of specimens.
• Performs non-technical duties including specimen collection, processing and referral testing within the department.
• Adheres to the Code of Conduct and maintains patient safety and infection control practices.
