Lone Peak Hospital in Draper, UT is seeking a Medical Laboratory Scientist for PRN shifts. You will be integral to the Laboratory team, handling blood tests and various analyses with automated and manual methods.

Responsibilities include processing specimens, antibody screening and cross-matching, equipment maintenance, and communicating critical results to care teams. Licensing within 1 year and BLS certification required.

Formación

• Graduate of an accredited Medical Technology program or Bachelor’s in MT/Chemistry/Biology with certification.
• ASCP MT/MLS/MLT certification required or equivalent.
• Licensure must be completed within 1 year of hire.
• One year hospital or clinical lab experience preferred; new grads considered.
• BLS/BCLS certification required.

Responsabilidades

• Receive blood specimens and perform blood tests.
• Conduct routine or special tests using automated equipment, manual testing, and microscopy.
• Maintain and operate laboratory equipment including analyzers.
• Perform antibody screening, identification, and cross-matching.
• Notify nursing units or physicians of critical lab values.
• Implement new testing methods and instrumentation to stay current.
