Job summary

Lone Peak Hospital, part of HCA Healthcare, is seeking a PRN Medical Lab Technician to join our laboratory team in Draper, Utah. You will perform stat and routine tests under supervision, support quality and safety, and help with specimen collection and processing.

Qualified candidates typically hold an Associate’s degree in Laboratory Science or MLT with CLIA experience and an active state license where required; ASCP/AMT certification preferred or obtainable within one year.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in Laboratory Science or Medical Laboratory Technology required.
• Military Medical Laboratory Procedures Training Course of at least 50 weeks and medical Laboratory Specialist designation preferred.
• CLIA-certified lab experience and state licensing as applicable preferred.
• ASCP/AMT or equivalent certification required or obtained within one year of hire.

Responsibilities

• Support department goals for service, quality, regulatory compliance, financial performance, patient satisfaction and safe operations.
• Perform stat and routine clinical laboratory testing under supervision.
• Handle non-technical duties including specimen collection, processing and referral testing as required.
• Maintain compliance with Code of Conduct and regulatory standards; ensure patient safety and infection control.
• Contribute to teamwork and flexible coverage during emergencies and natural disasters.

Education

Associate's degree in Laboratory Science or Medical Laboratory Technology

Military Medical Laboratory Procedures Training Course (50 weeks) and Medical Laboratory Specialist

State License where Required (CA, FL, LA, NV)

ASCP, AMT or Equivalent Certification
