Job summary

Sherwin-Williams Co. is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic to install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain production and facility equipment to support production goals. You will handle a wide range of machinery, from dryers and chillers to conveyors and HVAC systems, while keeping a safe and clean work environment.

Day shift Monday to Friday with a bonus plan based on performance. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, FSAs, disability coverage, retirement benefits, and substantial paid time off.

Qualifications

• Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future.
• Must have at least one (1) year of work experience as a mechanic in a manufacturing and/or distribution environment.
• Preferred: two (2) years of work experience as a mechanic in a manufacturing and/or distribution environment.
• Preferred: industrial, electrical, and/or welding certification or license.
• Preferred: maintenance experience applying electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic concepts.
• Preferred: experience implementing Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC).

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance inspections and service on equipment.
• Repair broken machines and equipment quickly and efficiently.
• Identify causes of unexpected breakdowns of machines.
• Record and report damaged, worn, or broken parts.
• Order and install replacement parts for machines.
• Assist in electrical projects and perform minor electrical repairs.
• Assist in pipe fitting tasks and perform some installation unassisted.
• Maintain and service building equipment including HVAC, lighting, water and sewer, etc.
• Maintain documentation as required.
• Clean, organize, inventory, stock, and otherwise maintain shop areas, parts, tools, and supplies.
• Coordinate with managers to schedule regular maintenance on machines.
• Maintain technical knowledge through training.
