Job summary

Hilco Vision is seeking a Maintenance Operator for its Fairfield, OH site. You will monitor equipment performance, perform quality checks, and make routine machine adjustments to minimize downtime and maintain production efficiency.

This full-time, on-site role runs the first shift from 6:30am to 3pm, with occasional Saturdays. The successful candidate is safety-conscious, mechanically inclined, detail-oriented, and capable of working independently within a team.

Qualifications

• Reading, writing and understanding English required.
• Basic math skills and strong attention to detail.
• Mechanical or technical aptitude with problem-solving ability.
• Experience troubleshooting and making basic machine adjustments.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Ability to work independently or in a team environment.
• Willingness to learn new equipment and processes.
• Manufacturing or machine operation experience.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate manufacturing equipment according to SOPs.
• Set up and monitor machines to ensure proper operation and consistent production.
• Load materials and components into equipment as required.
• Respond proactively to changes in machine performance.
• Make routine machine adjustments within SOPs.
• Identify and clear minor machine jams and issues.
• Communicate equipment problems to maintenance personnel.
• Maintain production efficiency and minimize downtime.
• Follow production schedules and customer specifications.
• Inspect products for leaks, alignment and defects.
• Perform required quality checks throughout production.
• Follow all safety policies and wear PPE as required.
• Keep work area clean, organized, and safe.
• Report unsafe conditions or hazards immediately.
• Collaborate with Operators, Packers, Maintenance, Leads, Supervisors.
