Job summary

Amcor Limited is seeking a Lead Maintenance Technician for the Day (A) Shift to supervise maintenance staff and ensure safe, compliant equipment operation. You will manage preventive maintenance, troubleshoot issues, and coordinate with production and quality teams to support reliable plant performance.

The role emphasizes hands-on technical work, shift coordination, and continuous improvement, with a strong focus on safety and documentation to meet ISO standards. Full-time on-site position.

Qualifications

• Capable of physical mobility including sitting, bending, twisting, standing, and lifting.
• Capable of reading, writing, and speaking English.
• Capable of lifting up to 35lbs.

Responsibilities

• Report to front line leadership and coordinate with overlapping shifts.
• Communicate starting work assignments including PMs, W/Os, and project work.
• Schedule and track Preventative Maintenance, including weekend and night tasks.
• Review daily inspection sheets and file maintenance paperwork for actions.
• Perform Hands On auditing of PMs and requirements on a routine basis.
• Provide Hands On production support including vacation coverage and training.
• Balance office work (30–40% of day) with shop floor presence (60–70%).
• Lead project work and shop activities such as parts replacement, tool security, and cycle counting.
• Provide direction to troubleshoot issues and support daily manufacturing demand.
• Lead by example in safety, workmanship, documentation, and teamwork.
• Audit and implement corrective actions on maintenance housekeeping.
• Work to uphold ISO standards and assist with continuous improvement.
