Job summary

Texas Health and Human Services, in Carlsbad, TX, is seeking a Custodian IV to join the Housekeeping Services team at the San Angelo State Supported Living Center. The role requires managing cleaning operations, inventories, and staff coordination to maintain high cleanliness and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Graduation from a standard senior high school or equivalent is preferred.
• Experience in custodial/housekeeping work is required (1+ year).
• Experience in environments with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities and/or mental health disorders is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Attends work regularly and may work a specific or rotating shift schedule.
• Cleans living areas, residents’ rooms, offices, medical areas, corridors, restrooms, and more.
• Handles biohazardous materials, disinfects equipment and maintains sterile environments.
• Conducts regular inspections of facilities and equipment for safety and upkeep.
• Tracks supplies, orders, and inventory; reports discrepancies to Custodial Manager.
• Acts as lead to other custodians and supports Custodial Manager in attendance and scheduling.
• Maintains custodial schedules, oversees training, and ensures high cleanliness standards.
• Records custodial activities including cleaning schedules and incidents.
