Job summary

Good Samaritan in Mandan, ND is seeking a full-time cook to prepare, portion and serve meals for patients/residents and staff. You will follow menus and dietary requirements, ensure HACCP compliance, and maintain sanitary conditions and proper labeling of food and equipment.

The role requires communication with team members, ability to read recipes, and basic math for measurements. On-site duties involve standing for long periods and working in a dynamic hospital kitchen environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Read, write and follow oral and written directions; basic math.
• Two years experience and leadership preferred; on-the-job training provided.
• Serv Safe may be required to obtain within a designated time frame.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, cook, season and portion food for patients/residents and staff.
• Ensure menu and dietary requirements are met and HACCP guidelines followed.
• Maintain sanitation, labeling and storage of food and equipment.
• Operate kitchen equipment and assist with daily food preparation.
• Work with internal customers and demonstrate teamwork daily.
