Job summary

Good Samaritan in Mandan, ND is seeking a full-time kitchen role focused on food preparation for patients, residents, and staff. You will lead cooks, prepare meals to meet dietary guidelines, and ensure sanitation and HACCP compliance in a fast-paced hospital setting.

Responsibilities include following standardized recipes, operating a range of kitchen equipment, and maintaining labeling and storage of food and equipment. Strong math, reading, and writing skills and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Ability to read, write and follow oral and written directions.
• Ability to perform basic math.
• Depending upon location applying for, a minimum of two years experience and previous leadership experience preferred.
• On-the-job training will be provided.
• Serv Safe may be required to obtain within a designated time frame.

Responsibilities

• Performs all duties in food preparation as assigned.
• Provides daily direction to cooks and other assigned areas.
• Prepares, cooks, seasons and portions food for patients/residents, staff, and visitors.
• Adheres to HACCP guidelines and documents steps and temperatures.
• Operates kitchen equipment and maintains sanitation and labeling of food and supplies.
• Shows ability to work independently and reads recipes proficiently.
