Job summary

Amentum is seeking a 1st shift Industrial General Maintenance Technician in East Peoria, IL to join our facility maintenance team of multi-skilled technicians. Typical hours are 8:00am–4:30pm, with overtime possible based on demand.

The role focuses on responding to work orders, troubleshooting, and providing emergency and preventive maintenance on building and production equipment, fixtures and systems in a manufacturing environment. Multi-craft duties and safety compliance are essential.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent.
Three years of maintenance experience in Industrial HVAC/Industrial Mechanical/Machine Repair.
Ability to work in an aerial lift up to 30 feet or higher.

Responsibilities

Operate, maintain, and repair facility and production equipment.
Analyze failures, inspect and maintain building services and equipment.
Perform planned preventive maintenance.
Troubleshoot mechanical equipment including pumps, hydraulics, vacuum systems, RO/DI water systems.
Assist in installing and servicing new equipment.
Support project and renovation work with contractors and engineers.
Follow safety regulations and CMMS procedures.
